8.  Wu Wei Wisdom Consultation Descriptor

A Wu Wei Wisdom consultation session is not standard therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, coaching or complementary medicine, and it should not be considered as a replacement for these services.

A Wu Wei Wisdom consultation will involve an open discussion between the Consultant and the client. This conversation will include a detailed exploration, assessment and analysis of the client’s case history, their emotional state, thought process, and their belief system.

This enquiry conversation is guided by the Consultant and follows a structured verbal questioning process (the ‘Golden Thread Process’), which is tailored to the client’s particular needs. The conversation may also include asking the client to share and explore some longstanding thought process and beliefs that may have originated in childhood or from childhood experiences (‘Inner Child Work’).

This approach allows the Consultant to identity, assess and make recommendations to help support the client, so that the client may resolve their presenting issues.

At all times, the client is fully in control of the conversation and the information they wish to share with the Consultant.

At at the end of each consultation, the Consultant will advise the client of their assessment of the client’s presenting issues and the next-steps or actions they may wish to take either independently (through further self-enquiry and self-development work), or via a follow-up session with the Consultant, or with another professional advisor, healthcare practitioner or therapist.

Wu Wei Wisdom consultations are helpful for clients seeking emotional health guidance as well as those looking for support to enhance their wellbeing. They are not suitable for clients with acute or specialised mental health problems, or clients experiencing an extreme crisis or trauma, or clients with ongoing drug dependency issues.

You must be over 18 years of age to register for a consultation with us.

Our Consultant will consider each individual and their circumstances to be unique and recommend personalised advice rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

Our Consultant would never recommend their advice as a replacement for medical advice and will always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional.

9.  Wu Wei Wisdom Ltd. & your Consultant request that the Client notes the following:

  • The degree of benefit obtainable from Wu Wei Wisdom consultations may vary between clients with similar health problems or life challenges and following a similar Wu Wei Wisdom consultation programme.
  • Our consultation advice will be tailored to support the presenting conditions, needs and/or concerns identified and agreed between both parties.
  • Our Consultant is not permitted to diagnose, or claim to treat, medical conditions.
  • Our Consultant advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatment.
  • Our Consultant reserves the right to cancel or discontinue his consultation services at any time if he considers that Wu Wei Wisdom consultations are not suitable for the client, or if the parameters of a respectful professional relationship are breached by the client.
  • This document only covers the practice of Wu Wei Wisdom consultations, and your Consultant will make it clear if he intends to step outside this boundary.

10.  The Client understands and agrees to the following:

  • I am responsible for contacting my GP/doctor about any health concerns.
  • If I am receiving treatment from my GP, or any other specialist medical or therapy provider, I should tell him/her about my intention to seek consultation advice from Wu Wei Wisdom Ltd. to ensure there is no professional conflict.
  • It is important that I tell my Consultant about any medical diagnosis, medication or herbal medicine I am taking, as well as any current or historic mental health issues or drug-related issues.
  • If I am unclear about any advice I am given by my Consultant, I should contact the Consultant or the Admin team promptly for clarification.
  • Audio and/or video recording of consultations is only allowed if the client agrees to full and ongoing confidentiality and non-disclosure of the consultation recording between the Consultant and the client.
